Proven solutions for floating liners due to ground water, as well as
cracked and leaking pool step repair. Details below. Ground Water - problems resulting in a "floated" linerPool liners that float away from the pool structure as a result of ground water are a common problem in the Memphis area. Many times the attempts to remove excess ground water from the pool area such as french drains are unsuccessful. We at Liner Lux have a proven solution that keeps troublesome ground water out from behind your vinyl liner. At your request, Liner Lux will furnish you a list of customers, with phone numbers, who eliminated their ground water problems by purchasing our ground water collection unit. Many of these people have spent several thousand dollars on french drain systems, replacement liners, and/or resets before purchasing our unit and finally solving their problem for good. We at Liner Lux would be happy to visit your pool and show you how we will solve your problem as well. Cracked Leaking StepsLeaking, cracked fiberglass pool steps can cause serious long-term pool problems. The usually large amounts of water that pass through these cracks wash away any support base from behind the pool structure and sometimes from underneath the pool decking. This in itself can cause serious structural problems with the pool on down the road as well as ruining the pool’s vinyl lining. Patching these cracks from up top is only a temporary solution since such patches themselves crack just as the steps did due to lack of support from underneath the steps. Replacement of fiberglass pool steps is usually in the $4 - $6,000 range. This high cost is due to the fact that the steps are bolted to the pool wall. Also, the concrete decking that encompasses the steps must be removed to facilitate a replacement. It is also impossible to install new steps without replacing the vinyl liner at the same time. (This cost is in addition to the $4 - $6,000 to replace the steps themselves.) Liner Lux has a repair process that shores up the existing steps from underneath without removing concrete or replacing your existing vinyl liner. The cracks are then repaired and then due to the newly installed support from underneath the steps, the repair is permanent, allowing normal use of the steps. If you are interested in our step repair service, we will be happy to furnish you a list of customers with phone numbers who have purchased our repair process.
